5/30/17: Ole Miss out of NCAA field; how did committee do?

On this edition of the Oxford Exxon Podcast, Chase Parham and Neal McCready are joined by West Point Daily Times Leader sports editor and college baseball fanatic Collin Brister, who poured over the NCAA bubble and many other metrics in the past weeks. Chase and Collin look at the selection committee's inconsistent reasoning and compare different resumes. They also go through the bracket and grade the committee on the totality of the NCAA field.

Also, Neal and Chase discuss Houston Nutt's desire for an apology and tease an ESPN.com article on the world's top 100 most famous athletes. 

5/25/17: Conference tournaments causing burst bubble for Rebs?

Chase Parham and Neal McCready discuss Ole Miss' short stay in Hoover and what the bubble looks like with selection Monday still four days away. They also touch on Greg Goff's firing at Alabama and some of the aspects of that search. 

Then they dissect Jeff Goodman's tweet about Rick Stansbury and what can be inferred from it. The news about Ole Miss' basketball date at Texas comes out during the podcast, and Neal voices his worry about the chances of a Little League win tonight. 

5/23/17: From lovely Hoover, Alabama

Chase Parham is in Hoover, Alabama, for the SEC Baseball Tournament while Neal McCready is in the Clark Ford Studio. They discuss Ole Miss' first game in the event and some softball housekeeping notes prior to the super regional with UCLA. Also, Chase speaks with top 50 instructor and former Ole Miss golfer Kevin Weeks, who is an instructor at Cog Hill and is familiar with the track Ole Miss golf is playing in the national championships. 

5/22/17: Hoover field set; softball sweeps regional

Chase Parham and Neal McCready discuss Ole Miss baseball's postseason baseball situation heading into the SEC Tournament, where the Rebels face Auburn on the first day of the event at 4:30 p.m. They look at resumes and more, as Tuesday's game seems to be critical. 

Then, they give impressions and recaps from Ole Miss softball's home regional victory, setting up a super regional matchup with UCLA starting Thursday. 

5/19/17: Important weekend at Ole Miss; Chris Malloy interview

Chase Parham and Neal McCready discuss Ole Miss baseball's series opening loss at Auburn and some of the complexities around the instant irritation following each loss. Also, they talk Ole Miss softball starting its regional on Friday night. 

Ole Miss golf coach Chris Malloy joins the show to discuss his team advancing to the national championship. The Rebels are the 18 seed in Illinois. 

And, as usual, there's some snake talk. 

5/18/17: Kendall Rogers of D1Baseball.com

Chase Parham and Neal McCready touch on Hugh Freeze's interview situation at the Regions Tradition on Wednesday and Ole Miss basketball signee Parker Stewart reportedly asking for his release from the program. 

Then, the guys visit with Kendall Rogers of D1Baseball.com, who breaks down Ole Miss' postseason situation going into the final weekend of the year at Auburn. Rogers also looks at other bubble teams the Rebels should watch and how the rest of the conference is shaping up. 

5/17/17: Austin Barbour discusses Donald Trump's bad week

Chase Parham and Neal McCready welcome in resident political strategist Austin Barbour to talk about all the chaos surrounding Donald Trump's presidency and where he thinks it goes from here. 

Around that conversation Chase and Neal talk about Ole Miss baseball and whether the Tuesday loss to Arkansas State really meant anything. Also, they hit on some Ole Miss softball with the regional a couple days away. 

5/16/17: Jay Tate talking... softball

Chase Parham and Neal McCready welcome in friend of the show Jay Tate, who runs things over at AuburnSports.com. The three talk about Jay's early move to cover softball as a mainstream sport at Auburn and how that's worked out. Also, they discuss some baseball and a few other random topics. 

5/15/17: Can softball become a top-tier fan sport at Ole Miss?

Chase Parham and Neal McCready recorded Monday's podcast on Sunday afternoon prior to Ole Miss being announced a host site for the NCAA softball tournament, however they discuss the Rebels' run to the SEC championship and talk about whether softball can make the leap into the top tier of Ole Miss fan sports. 

Also, they detail Ole Miss baseball's nice weekend that included two wins over Texas A&M, making the postseason more of a reailty with one regular season weekend remaining.
